Other Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to support VAFC beyond coaching or serving on a committee. Throughout the year, we need volunteers for short-term projects, special events and busy periods in the soccer calendar.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Sorting, distributing and collecting uniforms and equipment
  • Helping with player and team Photo Day
  • Setting up and cleaning up at tournaments, jamborees and Club events
  • Welcoming families and assisting at registration or information tables
  • Preparing fields with nets, cones, signs and other equipment
  • Supporting season launches, awards and volunteer-appreciation events
  • Assisting with fundraising activities and sponsor events
  • Helping with community outreach, translations or promotional materials
  • Providing occasional administrative or organizational support

Some roles require only an hour or two, while others may involve helping for an afternoon or at several events during the season. No soccer experience is necessary—just a willingness to lend a hand.
